Richard Edward La Rue, 89, of Malakoff, TX, passed away January 27, 2018. He was born July 7, 1928 in Evadale, AR to the late William Clyde and May Belle Simpson La Rue.

Mr. La Rue was a mechanic and also worked in construction. He was a member of the Assemblies of God and will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend.

He is survived by his son, Ron La Rue and wife Trudy; a daughter, Pat Salinas and husband Rolando; sisters Mary Jane La Rue Nichols and Janice La Rue Molder; brother, Jerry La Rue; grandchildren, Lisa McMahon, Lori Davis, Chris La Rue, Katherine La Rue, Ryan La Rue, Rolando Salinas Jr., Matthew Salinas and Lazarus Salinas, as well as nine great grandchildren.

Preceding Richard in death is his wife, Bonnie Sue McClelland La Rue; his parents; two brothers, W.C. La Rue Jr and Oliver Wendell "Wayne" La Rue and a sister, Jo Margaret La Rue-McClelland.

The family will receive friends for a visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday February 2, 2018 at Gregg Langford Bookout Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday February 3, 2018 also at the funeral home, with Rev. Danny Rigney officiating. Interment will follow in Macey Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Chris La Rue, Tucker La Rue, Ryan La Rue, Danny McMahon, J.D. Davis, Kevin Molder, Dylan Molder and Steve McClelland. Honorary pallbearers are Ron La Rue and Rolando Salinas.
