Mr. Richard E. Irvin of Harrisburg, departed this life Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at the St. Bernard\u0027s Medical Center in Jonesboro, at the age of 70.
He was born September 10, 1948 in Jonesboro, the son of the late Gene Irvin and Omagene Mashburn Irvin.
Richard was a jeweler and watch maker. He loved hunting and fishing and spending time with family and friends at his Hardy cabin. He married Mary Smith on May 17, 1970 and they enjoyed 48 years together. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Irvin and a sister, Joyce Doyle.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Irvin of the home, two sons, Richard L. Irvin of Harrisburg and Michael Irvin (Sheryl) of Jonesboro, one brother, Glenn Irvin (Diane) of Hardy and three grandchildren, Kameron Irvin, Kelsey Irvin and Shayla Humble.
Funeral services have been set for 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2018, at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Bolivar Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home Friday, 12:30 - 2:00 p.m.
