Jonesboro- Richard C. "Bud" Dillard, 83, passed away Monday, June 10, 2013. He was born December 21, 1929 in Jonesboro to the late Bill and Ruby Dillard and lived there all of his life. He worked thirty-two years at Colson Caster Corp, at Mercantel Bank for five years, Riggs Wholesale for six years and Lowes Home Center for nine years. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Coletta Dillard; a brother and his wife, Robert and Billie Jean Dillard of Antioch, Tenn.; two nephews, Max Dillard and Dickie Dillard; a brother-in-law, Coleman Lemmons of Whitney, Texas; two sister-in-laws, Ida Lambert and Demetra Kiihnl and husband Dewitt; many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an aunt, Mamie Lilly. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home, 300 W. Matthews in Jonesboro. A private burial will be held at Pine Knot Cemetery with Mitchell Funeral Home officiating. Honored to serve as pallbearers are his nephews.
