Mrs. Rena Aline "Tootsie" Patton of Bono, departed this life Friday, February 1, 2013, at her home, at the age of 93. She was born August 17, 1919 in Center, AR, the daughter of Mordica Sandefer and Martha Nicholson Sandefer. "Tootsie" was a homemaker and a member of the Bono Methodist Church. She enjoyed fishing and gardening. She married Melvin Patton in 1940 and they enjoyed over 60 years together before his death in 2003. She is survived by one son, Larry (Regina) Patton of Bono, two grandchildren, Shelly (Jon) Myers of Jonesboro and Pamela (Kevin) Widick of Bono and one great grandson Noah Widick. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mordica and Martha Sandefer, her husband, Melvin Patton, four brothers, Floyd Sandefer, Cecil Sandefer, Cleo Sandefer, and Joe Sandefer, and two sisters, Ethel Moore and Cora Lamb. Graveside funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Cemetery in Bono with Rev. Byron Griffey officiating. Gregg Langford Funeral Home of Jonesboro has been entrusted with arrangements. Friends may visit at the Funeral Home Monday evening, 5:00-7:00 p.m. Mrs. Patton's grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
