Rema Earlene Ray 82, of Pocahontas went to be with her heavenly Father, Monday March 1, 2021 at her home.
Rema was born in Pocahontas to the late Earl and Marie Rose. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Those who knew her loved her dearly. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten by the ones she left behind. She especially loved being with her family and now, she is reunited with her heavenly family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl, and Marie Rose; brother Billy Darrel Rose, sister Francis Geraldine Parent; son in law Charles Grant and grandson Randall Shane Cowan.
She is survived by her special someone, Bobby Montgomery of Imboden, who gave her strength until the end. She is also survived by her sister Zelda Bennett of Pocahontas, sister in law Joyce Rose of Pocahontas; children Debbie Grant of Lewisburg, Tn, Barbara (David) Graham of Pocahontas, Joel Grissom of Pocahontas and Rema (Mark) Merritt of Drasco; grandchildren, Donna Alexander of Savannah, TN, Shaun Grant of Lewisburg, TN, Rhonda Thomas of Pocahontas, Jennifer White of Attica, Tracy Cole of Pocahontas, David Grissom of Pocahontas, Josh Merritt of Colorado Springs, CO, Christina Barnett of Marion, Anna Marie Tyler of Olive Branch, MS, Felicia Houston of Sacremento, CA, Quinton Merritt and Laura Merritt of Drasco, Andrew Houston of Albuquerque, NM; twenty-five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. Wednesday March 3, 2021 in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday March 4, 2021 in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel with Shaun Grant officiating. Burial to follow in the Thomas Cemetery in Attica.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are David Grissom, Hunter Grissom, Logan Thomas, William Beaver, Andrew Houston, Quinton Merritt, Seth Grant and Matthew Johnson.
To follow the directives of Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, masks covering the mouth and nose are required for all persons in Arkansas for all indoor and outdoor settings, with exposure to non-household members where social distancing cannot be assured. Those attending will also be asked to sign a contact registry and maintain a social distance.
