Jonesboro- Reba Marie Crowell Ballard McQuay, 83, went home to her heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 in Paragould.
She was born March 7, 1935 in Clear Lake to the late Alfred and Beatrice Dobbs Crowell. Reba was the first born of six children. Reba never met a stranger and always had a smile on her face. She met the love of her life, Billy Ballard, through her friend Bernice Ballard. Reba and Billy were married November 29, 1952. After his death she married Curtis McQuay on February 24, 1996. She was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Jonesboro and dearly loved her brothers and sisters in Christ.
Welcoming Reba home are her parents, husband Billy Ballard, husband Curtis McQuay, sister Beulah Crowell Lauder and granddaughter, Jennifer Parker.
Reba leaves behind her children, Terry Ballard of Trumann, Darlene and Marvin Williams of Jonesboro, Larry and Cindy McQuay, Ellis and Kathy McQuay, Joyce McQuay and Jodi McQuay; her pride and joys - her grandchildren, Best Buddy- Aaron and Stacy Hargrove, Blake and Tiffany Williams, Keith McQuay and Laci and Marc Tang, Deeanna Parker, Lindsey Parker, Brian McQuay and Helen McQuay; her precious great-grandchildren, Preston and Anna Hargrove, Caleb Hargrove and MacKenzee Goodson, Brody Hargrove, Cooper Williams, Phoenix and Gryffin Tang, Hunter and DesaRae Newnum; a great-great-grandson on the way; brothers, Dale Crowell of Paragould, Randall and Viola Crowell of Bono and Norman Crowell of Black Rock; sister, Mavis and Dennis Durham of Trumann and special sister, Bernice Ballard Sharp of Marianna and many nieces, relatives and friends.
A celebration of Reba's life will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joseph Hall and her nephew, Rev. Scott Ingle officiating. Final resting place will be Pine Log Cemetery.
Visitation will be noon until 2:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
