Obituary

Rayburn Thompson of Fisher departed this life Friday, March 4, 2022 at Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

He was born at home in Wiener, Arkansas on November 25, 1946 the son of Roy and Lucille Thompson.

Rayburn worked hard on the farm all his life. He enjoyed being outside. Rayburn was an avid hunter and fisherman. He liked to hunt, deer, squirrel, and most of all he liked duck hunting. He loved to make people laugh and will be missed by all those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Lucille Thompson, three brothers, J.W. Thompson, Roy Allen Thompson, and Herbert Eugene Thompson, two sisters, Geraldine Maxum and Shirley Hurst.

He is survived by his wife Mary Beth Thompson of the home, his daughter, Sarah Beth (Jake) Coe of Jonesboro, two sisters, Jolyne Raines of Cash, and Carolyn Skaggs of Swifton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are set for Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Gregg Weston Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Jeff Jonyor will officiate.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Barker, Bryan Bush, Jake Coe, Kory Gibson, Scotty Gibson, and Tanner Polston.

Honorary Pallbearers are Roger Hall, Ronald Hall, Lyndon Hall, Tommy Malone, Keith Maxum, Aaron Keller, John Keller, Buster Bush, and all of the Fisher Fire Department.
