Randy Eugene Meeks, 70, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away on November 22, 2024, at his home. Randy was born on May 9, 1954, to the late Edward Eugene "Gene" Meeks and Shirley Louise Barnes Meeks in Pocahontas.

A longtime member of the Pocahontas community, Randy played football at Pocahontas High School and formed many lasting friendships throughout his life. He was married to his beloved wife, Netta Jean Gates Meeks, for 48 years. Randy worked as a carpenter and was known as a jack of all trades, but above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He cherished spending time with his brother-in-law, Jim Gates and longtime friend, Dennis Johnson. He was also an avid fisherman.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Gene Meeks and Shirley (Speck) Griffin; his daughter, Patricia Franks; and sister, Debbie Lewis.

He is survived by his wife, Netta Meeks; children, Diane Gates, and Shawn (Tasha) Meeks; brothers, Richard (Beth) Meeks, and Greg (Barbara) Meeks; sister, Gina (Darrell) Woods; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Memorial visitation will be held 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 27, 2024, with a memorial service beginning at 1:00 PM.  All services will be held in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel.
