Poahontas-Phyllis Allegra Page French, 82, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014. Phyllis was born January 29, 1932 to the late Robert Esley Page and Blanche Teenor Page in Peach Orchard, AR. Phyllis was County Clerk in Randolph County for 18 years. She was instrumental in bringing technology and automation to maintaining vital records in the county clerk's office. She was involved in committees and organizations contributing to the betterment and advancement of Randolph County. Survived by children Bobby Joe (Beverly) French, Dennis C. (Angie) French, Carol Sue (Billy) Sims all of Pocahontas, and Sharon Kay Kelman of Jonesboro, grandchildren Joe (Roberta) French of Pocahontas, Jennifer French of Pocahontas, Ashley (T.J.) Smith of Truman, Andrea Bailey of Jonesboro, Laura Sims of Pocahontas, Amber French of Fayetteville, Whitney Harper of Conway, Garrett Kelman of Jonesboro, great grandchildren Allison and Aubrey French of Pocahontas, Eli Smith of Truman, Brooklyn Smith and Kennedy McIntosh of Morrilton, beloved sister Betty Page Glaze of Poplar Bluff, MO. Preceded in death by her parents Robert Esley and Blanche Teenor Page, husband Joe B. French Jr., son Gary Dean "Pete" French brother Robert A. Page, brother-in-law Dennis Glaze.
