Phyllis Kay Kingston, 71, of Paragould passed away Friday, January 3, 2020 at NEA Baptist Hospital.

Phyllis was born April 20, 1948 in Evening Star to the late Ollis and Emily Brashears Staton.
She was a dietary manager for Paragould School District and a member of the Newton Street Church of Christ.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Ollis and Emily Staton; several brothers and sisters; and one great grandchild.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Kingston; three children, Gina (Brad) Foster, Jeff (Jennifer) Kingston, and Shirley (Jeff) Phillips all of Paragould; six grandchildren, Emily Foster of Paragould, Ashley (Jeremy) Greene of Walnut Ridge, Shayley Foster of Paragould, Taylor Kingston of Paragould, Jacob Kingston of Paragould, and Rafe Milburn of Paragould; two great grandchildren, Foster and Jorgia Greene of Walnut Ridge; one sister, Diva Chastain of Berrien Springs, MI and many other relatives and friends.

Phyllis most enjoyed spending time with her husband of 47 years and with all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She never missed any ballgames, award assemblies, or any other activities with her grandchildren. She loved to shop and to travel. She enjoyed the great outdoors and just being on the go. She never met a stranger and loved with all she had.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 7, 2020 from 1-2 PM at Newton Street Church of Christ, 412 Newton Street in Paragould. Funeral services will begin at 2 PM with Joshua Dement officiating. Burial will be in Epsaba Cemetery near Beech Grove.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Brian Staton, Brad Foster, Eric Roberts, Jeff Phillips, Jeremy Greene, and Jarrod Bailey.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Jacob Kingston, Riley Haygood, and Caleb Haygood.
