Phillip Henry Ducker, 70, of Jonesboro, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Wednesday, May 6, 2020, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Phillip was born August 18, 1949, in Batesville, Arkansas, to the late Billy Donald and Kathryn Naomi McClellan Ducker. He married the love of his life and best friend, Bev Armstrong Ducker, in 1972. They were married 47 years. Phil and Bev lived in Pocahontas for 29 years prior to moving to Jonesboro 2 years ago. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro.
He graduated from Arkansas State University in 1971 and remained a loyal Red Wolves fan. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He worked in manufacturing supervision for 37 years.
Phillip was a loving husband, father and grandpa. He loved spending time with his family. His favorite things were attending athletic events at Arkansas State University; camping with his wife, children, and grandchildren; deer hunting on the family farm at Pineville with his son, grandson, and brothers; and golfing with his "Steak and Bologna League" friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Bev Ducker; daughter, Amy (Kevin) Sorg of Springdale; son, Jeremy (Marcie) Ducker of Jonesboro; his grandchildren Claire and Mary Beth Sorg of Springdale; Jonas Ducker, Arianna Roberts, and Tyson Sears of Jonesboro; brothers, Tom (Marcia) Ducker of Jonesboro, Mike (Debbie) Ducker of Pineville, Roger (Kathy) Ducker of Mountain Home, Steve (Shelley) Ducker of Rogers; and his sister, Janie Jenkins of Pineville.
Pallbearers include Bill Bailey, Ron Johnson, Philip Taylor, Jack McCord, Fred Cole, Richard Blount, Bob Marinik, Jackson Clayton, Darrin Thielemier, and Jeffry Thielemier
Visitation will be Friday, May 8, 2020, from 5:00-8:00 PM and there will be a private family funeral service on Saturday, May 9, 2020, at 11:00 AM, at the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Eric Moffett officiating. Burial will follow at the Campbell Ford Cemetery.
