Philander Dale Kirk, March 7, 1960- August 14, 2011 Resident of Warm Springs, AR. After a tragic accident, he passed away surrounded by his loved ones. Philander was born in Altheimer, AR where he spent his childhood and early adulthood. He has been employed for over 20 years at Trinity Behavioral Health where he dedicated his life to working with youth in challenging circumstances. Philander was one of eleven children born to Betty Davis and was the husband of Kristi Kirk for the last 18 years. He will forever be remembered by his mom, wife, beloved children PK, 16, Kylee, 14, and MiKayla, 11, by his devoted siblings and their families Stan Davis, Reggie Davis, Robert Kirk, Alonza Jiles, Yolander Pittman, Wille Davis, Tyree Davis, Kim Booker, Javaris Steward, Clara Holly, caring in-laws along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. Philander loved spending time with his family and friends and helping those in need. Philander touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. Friends and family are invited to attend visitation at McNabb Funeral Home in Pocahontas on Friday, August 19th from 4-8 pm and a memorial service on Saturday, August 20th at 11 am at Grace Fellowship Church, 3128 Highway 115, Pocahontas, AR 72455.
