Walnut Ridge- Peter Thomas Connolly, 55, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016. He was born February 9, 1961 in Glasgow, Scotland. He was a graduate of Sand Hurst Military Academy. He was a 1st Lt in the British Army and was a Lt. Colonial with Civil Air Patrol, an auxiliary of the United States Air Force, for 20 years. Dr. Connolly had a Doctorate of Divinity and had recently served as interim pastor for the Disciples of Christ in Newport and Corning Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Connolly; his mother, Elizabeth Connolly of Glasgow, Scotland; a son, Derek Connolly (Juliette Haynes) of Walnut Ridge; two brothers, Brian Connolly of Glasgow and Malcolm Connolly of London, England; a sister and her husband, Carolanne and James Brown of Bridge of Weir, Scotland. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Connolly. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be 2:00 pm Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ Church at 818 Second St. in Hoxie. Arrangements were entrusted to Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
