Perry Hite Stubblefield, 87, of Pocahontas, Arkansas passed away in the early morning hours of December 3, 2015 at Five Rivers Medical Center after battling pneumonia. At his request, a graveside service will be held December 8, 11:00 a.m. in the Masonic Cemetery. Perry was born July 15, 1928 to J. Hite and Vada Kirkpatrick Stubblefield. He had one sister, Iverne Stubblefield Jones who preceded him in death. Perry was also preceded in death by his beautiful wife of 61 years, Betty Nibert Stubblefield, and their two sons John Randolph Stubblefield and Anthony Nibert Stubblefield. Perry will forever be remembered by his granddaughters, Meredith Stubblefield Sanantonio of Orlando, Florida and Emily Stubblefield Tipton of Hot Springs, also his four great-grandsons Logan and Barrett Tipton and Ethan and Macen Sanantonio, and countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. Perry worked many years in sales and manufacturing before finally retiring after selling the Bowlin Furniture Store in Batesville, Arkansas. Perry was a loyal friend and family man who often reminded us of the preciousness of life with his resiliency and grit. He had a passion for his church, road trips, and a good laugh. Perry enjoyed many years of road trips to his "sandcastle" and playing cards with friends. Big Pop will be greatly missed by his family and friends. -So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen.
