Peggy Hill, 83, of Harrisburg passed away June 2, 2023 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House after a lengthy illness.

Peggy was born April 11, 1940 in Bay to Fluty and Josie Collins.  Peggy was a beloved member of County Line Church of Christ. She was an excellent cook. Her pies, dressing and strawberry soup were family favorites. She loved to spend time outdoors and enjoyed flowers, gardening and reading her Bible. Her family was her greatest source of pride, particularly her grandchildren.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Louis, Bill, Ed, J.R., Larry and Jerry Collins.

Left to honor her memory are her husband of 65 years, Chall Hill, of the home; daughter, Ronda (James) Jackson; grandchildren, Dana (Colby) Cullen, Cody (Kaitlyn) Barnhill, Katie (Cody) Phillips and Jamie Jackson; great-grandchildren, Zach Melton, Josie, Asa and Delta Cullen and a sister, Ruth Vick.

Funeral services will be held Sunday June 4, 2023 at Gregg Langford-Bookout Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Visitation will be from 1-2 with service to follow. Burial will be at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Cody Barnhill, Zach Melton, Colby Cullen, Cody Phillips, Jackie Winningham and Brook Combs.

Lasting memorials may be made to Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House who were a source of great comfort to Peggy and her family in her final days.
