Peggy Pauline High, 72, of Pocahontas entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at her home surrounded by the love of her family.

Peggy was born on March 22, 1954, in Pocahontas to the late Estes and Fern Woodard. She was a proud high school graduate who dedicated many years of caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Peggy had a compassionate heart and found great joy in helping those in need. She treasured time spent with her family and especially loved her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Estes and Fern Woodard; and her husband, Jerry W. High.

She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Tonya (Joe) Simington of Imboden; grandchildren, Rebecca Simington and Heather Simington, both of Imboden; sister, Bonnie (Randy) Lewis of Pocahontas; along with many other relatives and friends who will dearly miss her.

Peggy will be remembered for her caring spirit, devotion to her family, and the kindness she showed to everyone she met.

Family has chosen a private burial.
