Peggy Fox Long, 84 of Pocahontas departed this life on October 29, 2021, at Jonesboro.  She was born December 14, 1936, to the late James "Lester" and Ruth Irene McGarrah Fox in Panola Co. Mississippi.

After raising her children, Peggy pursued a career in nursing. She attended Marked Tree Technical College for LPN. She then attended Arkansas State University where she received her RN.  She worded many years in several fields as an RN. She also loved gardening and animals.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Lester and Ruth Fox; brother George Fox; Son-in-law Larry Lewallen and grandson Mark Spears.

She is survived by her children Vicki Lewallen of Jonesboro, LaDonna and Gene Spears of Suches, GA., John Long of Hoxie and Jim and Lynda Long of Little Rock and long-time companion Jerry Hagood; grandchildren Leah Kaiser of Walcott, Luke Lewallen of Brooklyn, Leslie Ann Harris of Memphis, TN, Matthew Spears of Mableton, GA, Haley Truelove of Winder, GA., step grandchildren Cameron Stoneking of Jacksonville, Rachel Baldwin of Sheridan, and Andrea Masterson of AK., many other friends and family.

A private graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 1, 2021, in the Masonic Cemetery. All services are under direction of McNabb Funeral Home..
