Paula DeAnne Gates, 69 of Pocahontas passed away December 14, 2022 in Jonesboro, AR.

Paula was born in Benton Harbor Michigan to Ocie Barnett and Genevieve Roach Barnett on February 3, 1953. She was a doting grandmother of four girls that she referred to as her Grace, Faith, Hope and Joy.  She was married to her husband, Amos Gates for 36 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ocie, and Genevieve Roach Barnett and one sister, MaeLynn Isbrecht.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Amos Gates; daughter, Jenny (Jordan) Ramirez; granddaughters, Jozlynn, Selena, Mia and Talia Ramirez; brothers, Rick (Mary) Barnett and Kevin (Gina) Barnett; sister, Elizabeth (Steve) Keysacker; brother-in-law, Mike Isbrecht; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held 10:00 – 12:00 pm Saturday, December 17 ^th with the funeral service to begin at 12:00 p.m. in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Hovis officiating.

All services are under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
