Mr. Paul William Zirbel, of Waldenburg, departed this life Saturday, January 30, 2016, in Jonesboro, at the age of 85. He was born February 19, 1930 in Harrisburg, AR, the son of Frank John August Zirbel and Chrystal Adelaide Moore Zirbel. Paul was a retired farmer. He loved working on farm equipment, Cardinal baseball, Nascar and duck hunting in his younger days. He was a lifetime member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Waldenburg and a devoted Christian man. He loved everyone and treated everyone special. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He loved singing and sung in the church choir. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Wanda Jean Zirbel and a brother Aaron John Zirbel. He is survived by two daughters, Tina Zirbel and husband Bob Birch of St. Charles, MO and Pam Zirbel of Waldenburg, AR; one brother, Frank James Zirbel of Harrison, four grandchildren, Joshua Moore, Ashley Kieffer (Britt), Michelle Birch and Melissa Birch; four great-grandchildren, Ciara Cole, Grayce Moore, Jaxon Moore and Tripp Moore, and a special caregiver, Linda Wineland. Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Monday, February 1, 2016, at the Zion Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in Waldenburg Cemetery. Friends may visit at the Church Monday morning, 10:00-11:00 a.m. Those wishing to send memorials are asked to consider the Concordia Christian Academy or Zion Lutheran Church.
