Pocahontas- Paul Edward Simmons, 81 went home to be with our Lord May 3, 2014. Paul was born October 29, 1932 to the late William Alton Simmons and Evelyn Cassidy Bergen in Luan, AR. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Judith Simmons of the home, 2 sons Paul Jr. (Joanie) Simmons of NY, Ronald (Bonnie) Simmons of PA, daughter Heidi Somese of FL, granddaughter Charity Rose Simmons of PA, brothers Tom (Edith) Simmons of NV, Timothy (Norma) Simmons of CA, sisters Faye (Fred) Dispirito of NY, Wanda Harkness of TX, Dr. Karen Tom of WA, brother-in-law Vance McLaughlin of TN, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, step-mother Pauline Simmons, 1st wife Eleanor Simmons and sister Rose McLaughlin. Paul entered the Army at an early age and served 20 years. Paul was a very Godly man who loved his church and will be greatly missed by many. Services will be held in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Funeral will be Friday, May 10, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. with Alonza Jiles officiating. Burial will follow in the Masonic Cemetery.
