Paul Francis Leister, 83, of Pocahontas passed away February 4, 2023 at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center.

Paul was born January 9, 1940 in Jersey City, NJ. to the late Henry Charles and Jeannie Pilitowski Leister.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Leister; parents, Henry and Jeannie Leister; brothers, Henry and George Leister; and sisters, Virginia Hirsch and Betty Jennings.

Paul is survived by his wife, Stella Thielemier Leister; children, Melinda Levesque, Barry Leister, Stacey (Greg) Vance, David Leister; grandchildren, Michelle Ongman, Eric Robinson, Ashley Wilkes, Billy Leister, Taylor Leister, Shane Nichols, Shaun Nichols, Ryan Baker, Sean Baker, Allison Leister, Alex Leister, Amber Leister, Aiden Leister; and 17 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with a rosery to follow in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday, February 10, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church in Engelberg with a burial to follow in St. John Cemetery.
