Patsy Ann Toney Pickett was born July 19, 1936 in Dalton, Arkansas to Ralph Marvin and Lillie Mae Baker Toney. She departed this life on April 14, 2025 at St. Bernard's Hospital In Jonesboro, Arkansas.
She graduated valedictorian of her class in 1954 at Dalton High School in Dalton, Arkansas. She began working in Pocahontas at the Ben Franklin Store shortly after graduation, before moving to a career of more than 30 years at the Randolph County Courthouse, first in the sheriff's office and then onto the County Clerk's Office where she got acquainted with, and made many friends throughout her career. She retired as County Clerk after a long career which included involvement in many local civic and community boards and organizations, including the Library Board, 911 Board, and Dalton Volunteer Fire Department, just to name a few. She loved gardening, flowers, reading, crocheting, and visiting with everyone she came in contact with.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Mae Toney, and her husband, John Glen Pickett.
Survivors include her son Brian (and wife Evana Dion) Pickett, grandsons Colton Pickett, and Brandon (and wife Sarah) Taylor. Great grandsons Brooks and Jagger Taylor. She is also survived by her brother Ray(and wife Nancy) Toney, nieces Cindy Robinett and Karla Baltz, and nephews Jim Toney and Josh Toney and several great nieces and nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish her memory.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at McNabb Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Masonic Cemetery, with Joshua Dement officiating.
