Obituary

Paragould- Patricia Hobbs, 78, passed away Monday, July 17, 2017 in Little Rock.

She was born March 31, 1939 in Monette to the late Beaurell and Ruth Sipes Riggs. She worked many years as an income tax preparer for Charlie Partlow Tax Services.

Patsy was a proud member of the Daughter of the Revolution and was eager to share the family genealogy to be passed on to younger ones. She will be greatly missed by the members of the Shining light Sunday School Class of which she was an active member for many years. She delighted in serving others at church by planning or providing meals for special events, church fellowships and those in need. Providing made from scratch meals from garden to table for her family and friends was a source of joy to her. She also enjoyed continuing the tradition of quilting which she learned from her mother. She quilted with her mother, and with her friends for many years. Family members will always cherish the unique quilts that she designed for each one. She enjoyed working in the Walcott Baptist Church nursery for over twenty-five years.

Her family is comforted by knowing that although she will be greatly missed, she is in Heaven praising Jesus now.

She is survived by her daughter, Kari Sue Brooks; a daughter-in-law, Pamela Huffman; grandchildren, Kelly Tucker, Michelle Werner (William) and Aaron Huffman all of Granite City, IL; great-grandchildren, Alex Werner, Chance Blum, Ryan Kite, Haley Tucker, Aubrey Kite; sisters, Belma Cossey (J.M.) of Walcott and Mary Ruth Smart of Paragould; numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
