Brookland- Pansy Louise Tracer Owens, 89, passed away Sunday January 19, 2014 at Phil and Flo Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Mrs. Owens was born April 19, 1924 in Childress to the late John William and Hattie Ann Taylor Tracer. She worked on the farm for many years and also worked at the Ed White Shoe Factory in Paragould for several years. Mrs. Owens loved crafts, gardening, quilting, sewing, baking and her soap operas. She was a member of Dixie Baptist Church. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Charles Robert and Dorthy Owens of Manila and Bertha Ellen and Donald Mink of Brookland; nine grandchildren, Lisa Renea Warren, Tina Lanette Mink, Windy Lee Easley, Mark Edward Adams, Georgetta Gail Knuckles, Kevin Don Mink, Danielle Louise Williams, Joyce Ann Owens and Stephaine Louise Owens; thirteen great-grandchildren, Heather Ranea Reed, Ashley Donn Rogers, Christopher Thomas Roy Warren, Christa Dawn Adams, Alyvia Ellie Adams, Chase Lee Mink, Ariel Nicole Hallen, Kirk Dakota Easley, Hunter Benjamin Knuckles, Summer Lynn Knuckles, Addison Louise Elisabeth Williams, Bailey Ann Lasater and Jaylee Louise Logsdon; four great-great grandchildren, Melanie Mae Reed, Katelyn Ranea Reed, Emily Michelle Reed and Akeelah Leigh Rogers. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Louie Leadell Owens; a daughter, Hattie Louise Noel; four brothers, Audie Vachel Tracer, Charles Alfred Tracer, Utah Carl Tracer and Coy Robert Tracer. A celebration of her life will be Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Hathcoat officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland. Her family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Tuesday at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home at 300 W. Matthews Ave. Honored to serve as pallbeares are Kevin Mink, Mark Adams, Brad Warren, Chris Warren, Daniel Williams and Gary Holmes. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Tracer, Billy Joe Moss, Bobby Dale Moss, Clemen Moss and Junior Johnson. Lasting memorials may be sent to Twin Oaks Nursing Home.
