Monette- Owen Keiter,86, passed from this life June 18, 2025 at Monette Manor. He was born on April 29, 1939 to Cecil Ebert and Junie Baker Keiter.

Owen was a member of Refuge Baptist Church in Lake City. He was a retired grader operator for the county. He was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors.

He is survived by his sons; Kevin (Amy) Keiter and Gary Keiter, both of Monette; grandchildren, Phillip (Amanda) Keiter of Seattle, WA and Lauren Keiter; and two great-grandchildren, Cohen Markum and Maddux Keiter.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara Fay Keiter; one son, Richard Owen Ivan Keiter, as well as two grandchildren, Kevin Hunter Keiter and Sylvia Marie Keiter.

Owen was loved by many. He was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A funeral service to celebrate Owens' life will be held at Refuge Baptist Church on Saturday June 21, 2025 at 1 PM, with Rev. Steven Hinkle officiating.  Visitation will begin at noon at the church for friends and family. Services will be under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in Monette Cemetery following services.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jack Gathright, Justin Gathright, Cain Ashley, John Ashley, Wade Gathright, and Jordan Wood.
