Pocahontas - Oscar Edward Prince Jr., 89, passed away Friday, May 25, 2012. Born June 28, 1922 to the late Oscar Edward Prince Sr. and Lockie (Campbell) Prince. He was also preceded in death by father-in-law Perry Kirkpatrick and Mother-in-law Lorene Kirkpatrick, and 2 grandsons; Phillip Raglin and Lane Williams. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Prince of the home, 2 sons; Eddie and Pat Prince both of Pocahontas and 2 daughters; Vicki Kincade of Pocahontas and Tina Williams of Paragould. 7 grandchildren; Rob Raglin, Rachel Hagood, Elizabeth Corey, Michael Prince, Rebekah Prince, Lucas Williams and Marcus Williams and 5 great-grandchildren. He served as a radio operator on a an airplane during many major WWII Engagements in Europe including the Normandy invasion. He was a former Elder of Skaggs Church of Christ. He served on the Board of Directors of Randolph County Hospital Board, Randolph County Farm Bureau, Pocahontas School Board, Randolph County Soil Conservation, Randolph County Quorum Court and NEA Horse Show Association. He was the first and only Mayor of East Pocahontas. Service will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in The Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Burial will in the Masonic Cemetery with Gerald and Jon Fears officiating. Military honors will be performed by Promberger -Traw Post 4556. Pallbearers include: Rob Raglin, Michael Prince, Lucas Williams, Doris Williams, Bill Gay and Richard Rapert.
