Monette- Opal Estelle Holmes, 88, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022.

She was born November 12, 1933 in Monette to the late John and Edna Maynard. Estelle was a homemaker and had worked at Reeves Grocery Store and at Bigg Butts BBQ for many years. She was a volunteer at the Monette Senior Citizen Center.  She was a member of the Monette First Baptist Church.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Holmes; siblings, Howard Reeves, Signard Maynard, Horace "Bo" Maynard and John Paul Maynard.

She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Vicki and Jerry Hanna of Monette and Marti and Rodney Robertson of Leachville; grandchildren, Shawn Nance (Heather) of Monette, Brannah Bibbs (Samuel) and Forrest Robertson (ShaeLyn) all of Leachville; great-grandchildren, Aiden Nance, Wriley Nance, Ellington Bibbs, LoreLei Robertson and Maura Robertson and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2022 at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.

A celebration of her life will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Gregg Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Monette Memorial Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Shawn Nance, Aiden Nance, Forrest Robertson and Samuel Bibbs.
