Jonesboro- Oma Jean Owens, 85, went to her heavenly home Saturday, July 25, 2020.
She was born July 23, 1935 in rural Bay to the late Calvin and Ethel Mae Owens. She was a resident of St. Elizabeth Place. Oma Jean taught school for thirty years with her finally years at Nettleton. She was the pianist at Friendship Baptist Church and later organist at Calvary Baptist Church.
Survived by three special cousins, Grace McCann, Ethel Craig and Clara Cole and many other family and friends.
Visitation will be from noon until 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at Calvary Baptist Church.
A celebration of her life will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday with Drs. Jerry Medlock and Adrian Parker officiating. Interment will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
