Monette- Oleta Dunavin Birondo, 89 passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022 at her home.

She was born August 2, 1933 in Trumann to the late Jeff and Tressie Ladd Dunavin. Oleta graduated from Childress High School. She was a member of the Monette First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her brothers, Ronnie Dunavin (Stella), Jeff Wayne Dunavin and Burley Don Dunavin; two grandchildren, Alexandria (Jason) Stevens and Ronald Sapp; great-grandchildren, Lily and Atom Sapp and Chase Alexander and Callie Marie Stevens; brothers-in-laws, Leo, Nicolas and Ping Birondo; sister-in-law, Ruth DeMesa; nieces Charlotte, Linda, Rhonda and Diana; nephews, Mark, Doug, Davis and Michael Dunavin, many great nieces and nephews including Denver Chaffin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Birondo (June 26, 2022); daughter, Jenice Birondo; and sisters, Frieda Gray, Vanita Perry and a brother, Ermel Dunavin .

A celebration of her life will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette. Interment will follow at Macey Cemetery.

The visitation will be from noon until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
