Obituary

Jonesboro- Oleen Walton, 89, passed peacefully to be with the Lord. She died on October 13, 2018 at Flo \u0026 Phil Jones Hospice House.

She was born December 21, 1928 to the late Dewey and Obie Ray. Also preceding her in death was her husband of forty-nine and a half years, Hugh B. Walton; a sister Daphine; four brothers Jerold, Melvin, Cletus and Lamar Ray.

Oleen was a member of the Assembly of God and enjoyed reading and word search but was happiest crocheting items for family and friends.

She is survived by three children, Hugh Walton(Cicondra), Brenda Talley(John) and Keith Walton(SuAnn): six grandchildren, Hugh Walton(Ranae), Mark Walton(Karen), Denise Thomas(Mike), Shawn Walton, John Talley (Jessica)and Ila Walton; eight great grandchildren and soon to be five great great grandchildren; two brothers, Herschel and Derwood Ray; two very close nieces, Jeana Carter and Cindy Johnson and numerous other nieces, nephews, and other family member and too many friends to count and she loved them all.

To honor our mother there will be no viewing. There will be a celebration of her life on 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Powell officiating. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends from noon until time of service, Tuesday at the funeral home.
