Pocahontas- Notra Faydell Hill, age 85, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017 in Pocahontas, AR. She was born April 12, 1931 in Elnora, Randolph County, Arkansas. She was the daughter of James Leonard Toye and Bennie Lois Daniels Toye.

On September 16, 1949, Faye married Earl Lawrence Hill in Pocahontas, Arkansas. In her early years she worked beside her family in the orchards and fields and was well known to out pick many men in the cotton fields. She worked several years at Brown Shoe Factory in Pocahontas. In 1954 they purchased the grocery store at Burr, MO which they operated until 1970. Faye then began working at Vitronics in Doniphan, MO until her retirement in 1993.

Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Earl L Hill of Burr, MO; daughter Deborah Combs and husband Dale of Couch, MO; son Danny Hill and wife Becky of Doniphan, MO along with granddaughters Kimberly Combs of St. Charles, MO and Bethany Underwood (Jared) of Thayer, MO as well as grandsons Nicholas Hill (Amanda) of Chesterfield, MO and Jacob Hill (Jessica) of Tampa, FL. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Maddux and Holden Underwood, Lillian, Molly, Isabella and Piper Hill. Also surviving are a brother Charles Toye of Vero Beach, FL and sisters Phyllis Weisenbach of Stokes, AR, Geneva Gwaltney of Bald Knob, AR and Sharon Nieman of Pocahontas, AR. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Vance Toye, sisters Inez Hawkins, Jaunita Hufford and twin sister Gaynell Horton.

Faye faithfully attended the Brakebill Church of Christ until moving to Randolph Home. The family would like to express their appreciation for the loving care provided for the past six years by the staff at Randolph Home in Pocahontas.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at McNabb Funeral Home with the funeral on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 2 p.m. with Gerald Fears officiating. Burial will be in the Johnston's Chapel Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the Johnston's Chapel Cemetery.
