Norman Dale Smith, 82, of Pocahontas, passed away Monday, April 13, 2020, at his home.

Norman was born September 25, 1937 in Pocahontas to the late Hite and Earnestine Sutton Smith. He was a great team roper, loving father, grandfather and friend who never met a stranger. Norman was also a member of the WestRidge Church of Christ and a salesman for MoorMan's Feed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Karen Velilla; one great-grandson; and seven siblings, Isabelle Penn, Frankie Smith, Harold Smith, Helen Ragan, Elouise Hufstedler, Junior Smith, and Linda Smith.

Norman is survived by his wife, Donna Lee Litherland Smith; daughter, Lisa Smith Fletcher, both of Pocahontas; three sisters, Florence Grissom of Maynard, Lillie Dearlove of Missouri, and Sue Bunch of Pocahontas; three grandchildren, Rodney Whitlow of Jonesboro, Tosha Freeman of Pocahontas, and Jeremy Whitlow of West Virginia; seven great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be Thursday, April 16, 2020 at 2 P.M. at Sutton Cemetery with Nelson Henderson officiating under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Whitlow, Landon Whitlow, Les McPherson, Steve Velilla, Tosha Freeman, and Kelly Fletcher.
