Obituary

Sherwood- Nora Lee McGaughey, 93, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017 in Little Rock.

She was born July 6, 1924 in Melbourne to the late Albert and Nora Pinkston Bishop. She lived most of her life in the Dixie area, she moved to Sherwood in 2011. Mrs. Nora was of the Methodist faith and a homemaker. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter and her husband, Mary and Richard Greer of Sherwood; three granddaughters and their husbands, Keri and Stacey Thomas of Black Oak, Kimberly and Ryan Johnston of N. Little Rock and Kristy and Eric Hancock of Lonoke; great-grandchildren, Karoline Thomas of Black Oak, Jordan Johnston and Anna Paige Johnston both of N. Little Rock, Tristan Hancock and Jada Lee Hancock both of Lonoke; a son-in-law, Allen Smith of Monette.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edgar McGaughey; a daughter, Phyllis Smith and eight brothers and sisters.

A celebration of her life will be 11:00 am Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 am, Saturday at the funeral home.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Larry Bishop, Kelly McGaughey, Heath McGaughey, Kyle McGaughey, Stacey Thomas, Eric Hancock and Ryan Johnston.
