Mrs. Nina Joyce sanders, age 94, of Fisher, departed this life Friday, August 31, 2018, at her home.

She was born October 31, 1923, in Fisher, the daughter of Ralph J. and Marie Chamness Bryant. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Joyce spent most of her life in the fisher area. She spent most of her adult life helping on the family farm. She enjoyed making quilts and taught her daughter and granddaughters the art of quilt making. Joyce enjoyed being outside and spent many hours in her garden and yard, even at the age of 93. One of her greatest pleasures was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was never too busy to play games, help with projects or read to them. Her home was the gathering place for family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 73 years Winford "Winkie" Sanders; grandson Travis Grantham; three sistersBernice Bryant, Agnes Dodd and Inez Maynard and one brother R.L. Bryant.

She is survived by three sons, Winford (Dora) Sanders of Fisher, Ralph Daniel Sanders of Cleveland, TX, and Sherman (Leslie) Sanders of Weiner; one daughter, Delores Grantham of Fisher; ten grandchildren, Mark Grantham, Greyson Sanders, Sean Sanders, Shannon Sanders, Tony Newberry, Michelle Allbritton, Shanda Woods, Alisa Lott, Rosanne Gliemann and Wendy Kemp; fifteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Fisher Cemetery under the direction of Gregg-Weston Funeral Home of Harrisburg.

There will be no visitation prior to services.
