Pocahontas - Nina Marie Rice, 88, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Five Rivers Medical Center. She was born January 01, 1922 in Maynard to the late James "J.B." and Mary "Molly (Spencer) Abbott. She is preceded in death by husband, Marvin Rice, daughter Carolyn Molton, both parents, two brothers; Elvis \u0026 Earl Abbott, and sister Naomi (Abbott) Hennings. She is survived by sister, Ina V. Bland of Maynard, granddaughter Gina Molton and great grandson Gavin Molton both of Cahokia, IL. Also, several nieces and nephews. Services were held Sunday, May 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Maynard United Methodist Church with Tom Dellinger officiating. Burial followed in Masonic Cemetery. Visitation was held Saturday night from 5-7 p.m. in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Pallbearers included: Carlton Hennings, Jr., Dennis Barber, Jeremy Barber, Leyman Barber, David Shaffer, and Jim Pritchett.
