Jonesboro- Nina Catherine Madden, 96, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Flo \u0026 Phil Jones Hospice House.
She was born October 22, 1922 in Portia to the late Roy and Ethel Penny Coffman. She was a medical secretary at St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana for many years. Mrs. Nina enjoyed reading, collecting china and sewing. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. Madden was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Texarkana whose pastor was Rev. Susan Arnold who was a dear friend. She loved spending time with her family. She and her husband enjoyed forty-five years of marriage until he passed in 1989.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Brooks Madden Sr.; a son, Paul Brooks Madden Jr; a sister, Irma Lee Goad and a brother, Robert Coffman.
She was survived by a daughter-in-law, Joy Curtis Madden of Acton, MA; two grandchildren, Paul Brooks Madden III and Ivy Louise Madden both of Watertown, MA; a sister, Julia Cary of Clinton, MO; a brother-in-law, Oland Goad of Imboden; a niece, Rebecca Jones of Imboden; two nephews, John Cary of Phoenix, AZ and Russell Goad of Copperas Cove, TX; a cousin, Sandy Barrington of Hoxie; great-nieces and nephews, Carolyn Rudder, Stephanie McCormick, Chris Jones, Benjamin Goad, Ben Cary and Katie Cary.
Service will be private under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
