Mrs. Neva Sue Reed, of Monette, departed this life on Friday, January 6, 2012, in Jonesboro, at the age of 89. She was born April 16, 1922, in Marmaduke, the daughter of James C. Battles and Ina Hatfield Battles. She married Haven Reed on August 16, 1922 and they enjoyed 53 years together before his death in 1999. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.
