Wynne- Mrs. Nell (Gaskin) Miller, 98, of Wynne, Arkansas, departed this life Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at the Flo \u0026 Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. She was born in the Whitehall Community On March 29, 1919, to William and Ida (Liptrot) Gaskin. She married Carl Robert Miller on May 6, 1939.
Nell was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; infant son, Carl Robert Miller Jr.; Sisters, Dove Curtner, Bessie Hoffstot, Eddy Gaskin, Dottie Edwards, Essie Gent and Dalton Gann; brothers, Duard Gaskin and Ottie Gaskin.
Nell was a longtime member of Lebanon Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for 50 plus years. Later she moved to Wynne and became a charter member of Ridgeview Baptist Church where she also taught Sunday school making her Sunday school teaching of 67 years. She later became a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Nell was a prayer warrior and a faithful servant of the Lord. She also enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and gardening.
Nell is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Kenneth) Farmer of Harrisburg; three grandchildren, Mona Farmer of Harrisburg, Robert (Brenda) Farmer of Cherry Valley, and Chad (Lana) Farmer of Harrisburg; two great-grandchildren, Brandon Farmer of Cabot and Kayla (Lee) Korpi of Southaven, Mississippi; four great-great-grandchildren, Riley, Abbi, Everleigh and Kelleigh; a special Caregiver Charlotte McDaniel and special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg, with Bro. Larry Baily and Bro. Charles Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in Tyre Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home, Friday morning, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Robert Farmer, Chad Farmer, Brandon Farmer, Lee Korpi, Donald Wallace and Hal Saunders.
