POCAHONTAS-Neil Hosey Belford, 88, of Pocahontas died Saturday, December 8th at Randolph Home. Born in Success, AR on August 15, 1919, she was the daughter of Ronald and Rhudean (Harris) Hosey. Neil graduated from Pocahontas High School and Arkansas Tech University with a degree in education. On March 26, 1943, she married Lt. Harry A. Belford. After World War II ended, they returned to Pocahontas to start their family. Neil was an active member of First Baptist Church, Randolph County Literacy Council, P. E. O. Chapter AR and many other humanitarian efforts. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and two brothers, Harris and Clayton Hosey. Survivors include three daughters, Charlotte Heslep and Carl Belford-Lewallen of Pocahontas and Sharon Sink of Gordonville, Missouri, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at McNabb Funeral Home in Pocahontas. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. in the McNabb Chapel with Rev. Don Strait and Dr. Jerol Swaim officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery with Robert Sink, Lloyd Lewallen, Mark Wright, Corey Sink, Pharis Smith and Max Long serving as pallbearers. Lasting memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church in Pocahontas and Williams Baptist College in Walnut Ridge.
