Naomi Renck, 87, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.
She was born December 9, 1933 in Egypt to the late Jake and Mary Williams Cook. Mrs. Renck worked as a nurse at St. Bernards Medical Center for thirty-nine years. She was one of the original nurses that opened the ICU Unit at St. Bernard's. She loved gardening, canning, going to the lake, and was an avid bowler. She was a member of Greensboro Church of Christ. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by a stepson, Mark Huffman (Kim) of Jonesboro; a sister, Gail Cook of Egypt; a daughter-in-law, Florine Renck of Jonesboro; four brothers, Robert Cook (Lucille) of Bono, Bobby Cook of Jonesboro, Jimmy Cook of Egypt and Joe Cook of Myrtle, MO; grandchildren, David Renck (Ashley) of Warrensburg, MO, Kari Renck and Colbie Huffman both of Jonesboro and Josh Renck of O'Fallon, IL; great-grandsons, Samuel Renck of Warrensburg and Elliot Renck of O'Fallen, special nieces, Jennifer Smith and Emma and a host of other nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of sixty-two years, Jae Renck; her children, Donnie Renck, Gary Renck and Janell Renck; a sister, Glenna Parks and a brother, Jerry Cook.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, Monday evening, at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday morning at Pine Log Cemetery with Mr. Terry Jo Kee officiating.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jeff Cook, Jimmy Bland Cook, Scotty Cook, Josh Parks, Anthony Hunt and Cody Ishmael. Honorary pallbearers, Cameron Smith, Derrick Coleman, Marvin Parks, and T.J. Vallentine.
