Obituary

Mrs. Naomi Brown Collins, of Trumann, departed this life Thursday, September 12, 2103, at her home at the age of 72. She was born December 21, 1940 in Harrisburg, the daughter of David Brown and Dorothy Smith Brown. Naomi was a member of the New Vision Church of God in Harrisburg. She married Dallas Collins on December 19, 1959 and they enjoyed 49 years before his death in 2008. She held many jobs through the years including over 14 years with Singer, also American Greetings, Obien's Clothing Store and her last employment was with Parker Manufacturing. She loved keeping a clean house and also enjoyed yard-work and her flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother, James Brown. She is survived by a daughter, Michelle Welch of Blytheville, two sisters, Betty Lemay of Harrisburg and Joy Samuel of Trumann, six brothers, Archie Brown and his wife Zorolla of Harrisburg, Lloyd Brown and his wife Debbie of Monroe, LA, Paul Brown of Trumann, Gerald Brown and his wife Pat of Trumann, Larry Brown and his wife Shawn of Harrisburg, and Eddie Brown and his wife Judy of Colt, four grandchildren, Anthony Runyan, Amber Runyan, Brianna Crume and Cory Crume, and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg, with Rev. Greg Hoskins officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Springs Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home Saturday evening, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Her six brothers will serve as pallbearers. Gregg-Weston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
