Mrs. Nancy Juanita Smith of Harrisburg, AR departed this life Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at the Flo \u0026 Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, at the age of 90.
She was born August 7, 1926 in Percel, OK, the daughter of the late Walter Lee Peck and Willie Mae Brown Peck.
Mrs. Smith worked on the farm along-side of her husband and also worked as a short order cook at several Harrisburg cafes. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Harrisburg where she taught Ladies Sunday School Class, sang in the choir and helped with Vacation Bible Schools.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Willie Peck, a brother, Jim Peck and four sisters, Vera Vail, Era Jackson, Lucille Farris and Mary Nell Pannell.
She is survived by two daughters, Lenette Ball (Phil) of Trumann, and Barbara Adams of Harrisburg, one son, Lynn Smith of Jonesboro, one brother, George Peck of Springhill, LA, one sister, Dottie Pannell of Harrisburg, and three grandchildren, Jason Ball of Los Angeles, CA, Matt Ball of Jonesboro and Clara Barnes of Jonesboro.
Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg with Rev. Butch Farris officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home just prior to services at 10:30 a.m.
