Nancy Johnson Riggs, 87, of the Attica community passed away Monday, November 21, 2022 at her home.

Nancy was born March 12, 1935 in Henderson, Kentucky to the late J Sam and Elizabeth Ballantine Johnson.  She was a teacher, master gardener, worked with the Corning Clothes Closet, various Pro Life Groups including Pocahontas Life Chain, and was a member of Pocahontas First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents J Sam and Elizabeth Johnson; husband, Ronald W. Riggs; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sadie and Ed Barrass and Elizabeth "Toot" and Bill Lightfoot.

Nancy is survived by her children, Elinor (Don) Weaver of Lavaca, AR; Sam (Lisa) Riggs of West Plains, MO, and Mack (Alyson) Riggs of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Sam Weaver, Austin (Nichole) Riggs, Hannah Riggs, Emily Riggs, Mackenzie Riggs, Steven Riggs, Aaron Riggs, Jonathan Riggs, Joshua Riggs, Leslie (Brad) Miller and Mike Weaver; great grandchildren, Hazel and Vyolette Riggs, Macy Miller, Jayla, Brittany and Alyssa Weaver; great great grandchild Renleigh; brothers-in-law, Bob Riggs, Bill Decker and Bill Rapert; sister-in-law, Frances Riggs; and many other relatives and friends.

A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Sutton Cemetery under direction of McNabb Funeral Home.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Decker, Bill Rapert, and Don Weaver.
