Myrtle E. Brewer 92, of Caraway, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Monette Manor nursing home. She spent most of her life as a homemaker caring for others. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, A. E. "Bub" Brewer, her parents Paul B. and Una Hoffman, an infant son A. E. Brewer, Jr., three brothers and one sister. She is survived by three sons: Joe (Carlene), James (Wallece) Brewer both of Jonesboro, and John (Carmen) Brewer of Caraway; six grandchildren: Wayne Still, Sean Still, Jason (Mandy) Brewer, Courtney (Brandon) Winters all of Jonesboro, Bryce (Beth) Brewer of Little Rock and Kristen Brewer of Caraway; thirteen great grandchildren, two brothers: D. J. (Verla) Hoffman of Mayetta, Kansas, Paul (Virginia) Hoffman of Senatobia, Mississippi; three sisters: Martha Jones of Cabot, Mable Hopper and Francis Pierce of Davenport, Iowa and one sister-in-law, Wilma Poe Hoffman of Ward, and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 10:00-11:30 Tuesday, January 21, at New Hope-Black Oak Baptist Church followed by the funeral service at 11:30 with Heath Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Caraway Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette. Pallbearers will be Wayne Still, Sean Still, Bryce Brewer, Brandon Winters, Jason Brewer, Caleb George, and Ty Still.
