Minnie Lee Beasley, 90, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at home. She was born on April 21, 1935 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to the late Clarence Raymond (C.R.) and Birdie Mae Dalton-Standefer. Minnie retired several times after working in offices of several local businesses including Jonesboro Cable T.V., Cleo C. White & Associates, and lastly as Case Manager at East Arkansas Area Agency on Aging. She was a long-time member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church where she served on the original building committee and was active in the Timothy, Eunice and Lois (TEL) Sunday School class. She was an avid shopper and Razorback football fan and loved her family.
Minnie, wife of the late Hollis Edward Beasley, was preceded in death by her brothers Harold Standefer and Herman Standefer and sister Sharon DeLoach. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Vickie and Jim Binkley of Jonesboro, Patricia and Greg Bowman of Marked Tree, Arkansas, Michelle and Joe Roberson of Springfield, Missouri, and Michael Beasley of Piggott, Arkansas; grandchildren, Brian Bowman (Melissa) of West Plains, Missouri, Christopher Bowman (DeeAnn) of Russellville, Arkansas, Heather Willett (Harry) of Mobile, Alabama, Kimberly Smith (Dustin) of Jenks, Oklahoma, Aaron Binkley of San Antonio, Texas, Hailey Chatman (Zach Wise) and Jake Chatman (Sara) of Sherwood, Arkansas, and Alexandra Beasley, of Kenosha, Wisconsin; great-grandchildren Zane Smith, Allison Bowman, Jackson Smith, Heidi Willett, Emily Bowman, Deacon Smith, Holly Willett, Amelia Smith and Wesley Chatman; sister Virginia Langston and brother-in-law Harvey DeLoach.
A celebration of her life will be held Friday, June 6, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Walnut Street Baptist Church with Cory Cartwright officiating. Burial will follow at McDaniel Cemetery under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home. Visitation will be immediately prior to the service from 1:00 -2:00 pm. Honored to serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers are sons-in-law, grandsons and great-grandsons. Lasting memorials may be sent to Walnut Street Baptist Church.
