Obituary

Monette- Millie Wimberley, 84, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Monette Manor.

She was born July 20, 1934 in Macey to the late T. T. and Nona McClelland Hout. She worked at Arkansas Power and Light until she retired. She enjoyed being a housewife, loved to sing in the church choir and as well at the nursing home. She also enjoyed planting flowers, collecting teapots, playing bingo. She was an active member of the Monette United Methodist Church and had served as United Methodist Women\u0027s president. Mrs. Millie had served on the Macey Cemetery Board, Childress High School Reunion Committee and Buffalo Island Museum Board for many years. She loved her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Rick (Paige) Wimberley of Wynne, Diane Wimberley (David Ancieta) of Bay and Kevin (Reba) Wimberley of Monette; two grandchildren, Michael (Brittany) Wimberley of Lowell and Lindsey (Michael)Allen of Jonesboro.

She was preceded in death by her husband, H. M. "Tink" Wimberley.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Monday, October 15, 2018 at Gregg Funeral Home.

A celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Macey Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers, David Clark, Steve Haigwood, Allen Gathright, Bob Blankenship, Wade Spikes, Kenneth Worthey and Michael Latting.
