Mildred J. Rose, 79, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018, at the Craighead Nursing Center. Mrs. Rose was born Jan. 30, 1939, at Cash to the late Marvin and Ethel McQuay Coots. She was a homemaker and retired from Frolic Footwear Co. after 20 years and was a member of the Stoneridge Church of Christ.
She loved bowling, softball, sewing, gardening, puzzle books, activities at the nursing home and was an avid Cardinal and Razorback fan. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Rose is survived by a daughter, Laurie Uran and her husband David of Bono; two sons, Roger Rose and his wife Becky of Bay and Shannon Rose of Paragould; a grandson, Khristan Uran of Little Rock; three stepgrandchildren, Garrett Combs, Gavin Combs and Janna Hamilton; five great-grandchildren, Maggie Combs, Jude Combs, Indiana Combs, Jep Hamilton and Case Hamilton; four brothers, Buddy Coots (Frankie) of New Holstein, Wis., Larry Coots (Gloria), Wade Coots (Kay) and Wayne Coots (Linda), all of Jonesboro; a sister, Shirley Coots of Jonesboro; a brother-in-law, Conway Riggs of Jonesboro; a sister-in-law, Kathy Coots of Jonesboro; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Rose; a sister, Barbara Riggs; and a brother, Jerry Coots.
A celebration of her life will be 10 a.m Thursday in the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rick Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Worley Cemetery near Cash. Visitation for Mrs. Rose will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Khristan Uran, Stephen Riggs, Barry Riggs, Zach Riggs, Keith Coots and Aaron Coots; and as honorary pallbearers, Dr. Cory Diamond, Dr. Ladd Scriber and the staff and residents of Craighead Nursing Center.
