Mrs. Mildred Mae "Mickey" Fearson of Harrisburg, was called home by her Lord on Saturday, November 18, 2017.
She was born May 14, 1934, the daughter of the late Jessie Fearson and Alice Johnson Fearson.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Curtis Paul Johnson, Clifford Warren and Leon Warren and his wife Anna; one daughter, Barbara Jean Fearson; one sister, Pinky Lee Hare and her husband Herman.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Charles Fearson of Harrisburg, and Rodney Clopton and his wife Tracy of Chicago, IL; three sisters, Bernice Fearson, Sterlene Warren and Lillie Bolling and her husband Clarence, all of Harrisburg; one brother, Henry Warren and his wife Linda of Harrisburg; four grandchildren, Barbara Joseph of Indianapolis, IN, Andretta Joseph of Anderson, IN, Nathaniel Clopton and Naylon Clopton, both of Chicago, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mickey spent most of her younger years in St. Louis, MO with her Auntie, the late Edna Terry. She later moved to Chicago, IL until 2013, when she returned home to reside in Harrisburg due to her failing health. She lived at Woodbriar Nursing Home until God called her to her true home. Mickey is the name everyone called her and she wore many pairs of shoes. She worked many years at the Premium Plastic Factory in Chicago. She was one who enjoyed life and never looked back at what life would bring. Her smile and straightforward opinion let you know just how she felt about you. Her hobbies included playing cards, especially Gin Rummy, cooking and taking care of everyone else kids who could tell you a story or two. Mickey will be missed by all but God loved her best.
Funeral services are set for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017, at the Hilltop Pentecostal Church in Harrisburg with Rev. Jeremy Jones and Rev. Mary F. Cash officiating. Interment will follow in Old Harrisburg City Cemetery under the direction of Gregg-Weston Funeral Home of Harrisburg.
Friends may visit at the church just prior to services.
Pallbearers will include Edward Newsom, Leonard Sproling, Wallace Miller, Calvin Eskridge, Ricky Tate, Lawrence Adams and Derrick Wade. Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Warren, Terry Larnce, Arvin Larnce, Nikia Warren, Victor Flemming, Anton Eskridge, Curtis Fearson, Deon Warren, Bryan Warren, and Sam Larnce.
