Mildred Jones Fair, age 94, of Pocahontas, died Friday, December 10, 2010 at Pocahontas Healthcare \u0026 Rehab. She was born August 30, 1916 in Black Rock, AR, the daughter of the late John Jefferson and Margaret (Billings) Watts Jones and was a graduate of Black Rock High School. She had a 31 year career with the US Postal Service, working as a postal clerk in Black Rock, Brinkley, and Pocahontas, retiring from the Pocahontas Post Office in 1971. She had been a member of First Baptist Church of Pocahontas for over 50 years, with 21 of those years being the teacher of Mary-Martha Adult Ladies Sunday School Class. She married Eldon Fair, February 22, 1940 in Pocahontas. He died in 2002. She was preceded by her parents, two brothers, three sisters, and a daughter-in-law, Billie Sue (Ray) Fair, who died in 2000. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Margaret Fair of Pocahontas; one grandson, Steve Fair and his wife, Aleyna of Matthews, MO; and one great grandson, Alex Fair also of Matthews, MO; one brother, Harlon Jones of Georgetown, TX; Many nieces and nephews.
