Jonesboro- Mildred Frances Childers, 91, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 at St. Bernards Medical Center.

She was born February 7, 1927 in Jonesboro to the late James and Minnie Sommers Miller. She worked in child care and as a caregiver. She enjoyed quilting, crafting, cooking and gardening and loved her family.

She is survived by her children, William Childers of Jonesboro, James Byerly (Barbara) of Mountain Home, Clifford Byerly of Horseshoe Bend, Garry Byerly of Whitney, Texas and Rachel Jones (Shawn) of Jonesboro; grandchildren, James Dale Byerly of Las Vegas, Jeffrey Scott Byerly of Waco, Texas, Jerry Don Byerly of Jonesboro, Jason Harold Byerly, Jamie Joe Lewis, Garry Don Byerly Jr. all of Whitney, Cecilia Jones, Haley Jones, Chandler Jones, Colton Jones and Jackson Jones all of Jonesboro; several great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Childers and seven brothers.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.

A celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Allen Elkins officiating. Interment will follow at Clark's Chapel Cemetery near Paragould.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jerry Byerly, Jeff Byerly, Jason Byerly, Shawn Jones, Colton Jones and Chandler Jones.
